1 These terms and conditions set out the rules under which you may participate in the Worldcard loyalty scheme. By completing a Worldcard application form you agree to these terms and conditions.
2 The Worldcard loyalty scheme is operated by Worldcard 2000 Limited (“Worldcard 2000”) of 92 Lots Road, London SW10 0QD. Worldcard loyalty applications and the cards on which they sit (together called “Worldcard” in these terms and conditions) are issued by Worldcard 2000 and our partner companies and organisations from time to time in the Worldcard loyalty scheme (“Scheme Partners”), and will remain the property of the issuer. Worldcard 2000 and our Scheme Partners may at our discretion charge for the issue of a Worldcard, refuse to issue a Worldcard and may withdraw a Worldcard from use at any time and for any reason.
3 Worldcard 2000 and our Scheme Partners may from time to time at our discretion issue Worldcards to users within certain areas (for example, defined in terms of where you live or go to school) without charge to those users. If you would like to have and use such a Worldcard but are not entitled to receive one free, you may apply to buy one. For details of how to apply for one of these cards, please contact us at the Worldcard website at www.worldcard.co.uk (or at such replacement website as Worldcard 2000 may choose from time to time) (“the Website”).
4 You may use your Worldcard to pick up loyalty points at any participating premises or outlet, which may range from retail shops to schools, swimming pools, libraries and other premises and outlets. For a full and up to date list of participating premises and outlets, please see the Website.
5 At retail outlets, the retailer will at all times be responsible for the accrual of points, for informing customers which goods and services earn points, how many points they earn, and on which goods (if any) points may from time to time be redeemed. Redemption of points will be at selected retailers or via the Website. Please see the Website for a full list of items available for purchase in this way. Conditions may apply to the redemption of particular items.
6 Worldcard 2000 and our Scheme Partners accept no responsibility in relation to any product or service obtained by the redemption of points via the Website. If any such product or service is faulty or unsatisfactory, the person or body responsible for its supply will be solely responsible for dealing with the fault or problem (including without limitation by way of determining whether to issue a refund or replacement product).
7 Worldcard 2000 and our Scheme Partners are committed to protecting your privacy and security, and will ensure that the data we obtain when you apply for and use your Worldcard will always be held, used and transferred in compliance with all applicable data protection rules. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you agree that Worldcard 2000, Scheme Partners and reputable third parties (including retailers and brand owners whose products and services may be of interest to you) may use and transfer your information for the following purposes: (a) to process details of Worldcard applications; (b) to ensure you are kept to date with use of Worldcards; (c) to ensure you better understand how the Worldcard can be of benefit to you; (d) to provide you with details of promotions, offers, products and services and competitions; (e) to monitor card use to help develop and improve the usefulness of the Worldcard; (f) to share it between the parties mentioned above for direct marketing purposes; and (g) for all the purposes above, transfer your information to retailers of similar products and services to the products and services provided under this scheme in the following countries outside the EEA.
8 Worldcard 2000 and our Scheme Partners follow strict security procedures in storing, using and sharing the personal information you give us, in order to prevent unauthorised access to it. These security procedures may mean that proof of your identity may sometimes be requested before information can be disclosed to you. They may also involve the use by you of a password. You agree to keep any password relating to the use of your Worldcard secret and not to disclose it to anyone else or permit anyone else to use it on your behalf.
9 If you change your address or contact details, you must inform us as soon as possible. This can be done via the Website. Please note that all items purchased via redemption points from the Website will be forwarded to you at the address registered with your application. You are responsible for keeping your registered address details up to date. Worldcard 2000 and our Scheme Partners reserve the right at our discretion to charge to you the postage and packaging costs and (if applicable) the replacement or repair costs for any item sent to you at an old address.
10 Worldcard use is personal and non-transferable, except that you may transfer Worldcard points to other members of your household who have their own Worldcard. You may have as many Worldcards at one time as you wish (although each Worldcard will have to be applied for separately). If any Worldcard is lost or stolen, please let us know immediately. You can do this via the Website. Worldcard 2000 and our Scheme Partners may in our discretion charge for replacement applications or cards. Your points balance on the missing Worldcard cannot be transferred to your replacement Worldcard which will be issued with a zero points balance. In the event your Worldcard is defective or damaged, please return it to us for replacement and we will transfer your current points balance from the damaged card to your replacement Worldcard.
11 If you do not use a Worldcard for a period of twelve (12) months, Worldcard 2000 and our Scheme Partners may no longer thereafter service that Worldcard. If this happens, you will be able to re-apply for another Worldcard using your up to date contact details, and Worldcard 2000 or any Scheme Partner may at its discretion re-award to you any points that were held on your Worldcard at the time your membership ended.
12 All printed statements by Worldcard 2000 regarding the Worldcard scheme will form part of these terms and conditions. Worldcard 2000 reserves the right to change these terms and conditions or to terminate the Worldcard scheme at any time. If you are not certain that you have the latest terms and conditions, they can always be found on the Website.
13 By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you agree that Worldcard 2000, the Scheme Partners and reputable third parties (including retailers and brand owners whose products and services may be of interest to you) may contact you via email and/or text message for direct marketing purposes. If you do not wish to receive these messages either via email or text you are able to unsubscribe by following the instructions provided with each message. Following this you will no longer receive the messages for which you have unsubscribed.
